Female Artists Of Uttar Pradesh Who Are Very Popular In The Country

Uttar Pradesh is the most populated state of the country. UP is not only the maximum number of population residing here but have also given birth to many and many artists from different fields. Artists in Uttar Pradesh has made the state feel proud with their talent. 

Many talented artists had taken birth in different cities and towns of the state. Artists include, dancers, singers, musicians, actors, etc have not only got success in their career but also made the state feel proud. Apart from female artists there are many male popular artists in India such as, M.F. Hussain, S.H. Raza, Rabindranath Tagore, Wajid Khan, Dr. Hari Om and many more. 

Among various other artists the best female artists of Uttar Pradesh are described as under;

Pali Chandra - Internationally Acclaimed Kathak Dancer
1. Pali Chandra
Pali Chandra is an internationally renowned Kathak dancer, choreographer, social activist. She is also the artistic director of Gurukul Dubai. She is trained in classical Kathak by the Gurus of Lucknow Gharana named late Guru Vikram Singh, Pandit Ram Mohan Maharaj and Smt. Kapila Raj. As a good performing artist of classical and contemporary Kathak, she was awarded the Lachhu Maharaj Award. She made the country feel proud on her.

2. Asma Hussain 

Sahibzadi Asma Hussain is a famous Indian fashion designer. Asma Hussain displayed and presented her first ever fashion collection in the year 1994, and founded the Asma Hussain Institute of Fashion Technology (AIFT) in Uttar Pradesh. The institute is recognised under the Government by the Government of India's National Council for Vocational Training.
Asma Hussain is the Chairperson and Managing Director of the Youth Upliftment and Welfare Association (YUWA), an NGO, who has served as a role model in the world of fashion designing. In the city of Lucknow, the Asma Hussain Fashion House (AHFH) is located to cater the needs of the concerned people. 

Gulab Bai -  Indian Stage Performer of  Nautanki

3. Gulab Bai

Gulab Bai was popularly known as Gulab-jaan, was an Indian stage performer of Nautanki. Gulab Jaan was the first female artist of the traditional operatic drama and was considered by many as its pre-eminent exponent. She was also the founder of the Great Gulab Theatre Company, a very successful Nautanki troupe. Gulab Bai was also awarded with the award of Padma Shree by the Government of India.

4. Gauhar Jaan

Gauhar Jaan was a very famous Indian singer and dancer.  She was one of the first performers to record music on 78 rpm records which was released by Gramophone Company of India. 
Gauhar Jahan is credited and remembered with popularizing Hindustani classical music such as thumri, dadra, kajri, tarana and many more.

Manjari Chaturvedi - Indian Sufi Kathak Dancer.

 5. Manjari Chaturvedi 

Manjari Chaturvedi is a popular Indian Sufi Kathak dancer. She belongs to the Lucknow Gharana and is from a very well settled family. 
Chaturvedi began her career as a Kathak dancer from Lucknow. She is particularly dedicated to Sufi mysticism and has endeavored to incorporate movements in her performances.
